When you are Barbie and you're turning the big 50, certain things, special treatment are "de mise" for you. For 5 decades of Fashion, Life and Style, Barbie has inspired many.
Some of the greatest Designers have contributed to her continued success with new creations, wardrobes, home style decor...Often limited to the world of Plastic.
This time around, Barbie gets a treat worthy of her trip. A gift she will forever cherish, a moment she will record and replay over and over again: David Dixon, renown Canadian Fashion Designer collaborates with her to create her Barbie Collection by David Dixon.
Showing on the Runway on the Day 1 of LG Fashion Week. It was jam-packed, so much that I thought it would explode at any given moment, but it didn't.
Having attended David Dixon shows before, I knew what to expect:
Quality designs, feminine silhouettes, clean lines, captivating details, a true Bon Chic Bon Genre feel, all of it well crafted by his savoir faire.

I found the show well executed and cohesive from begining to end, the piecese were different from the David Dixon Collections.
~*~ Happy Bday Barbie ~*~
Barbie modern chic - mixing prints for a stunning effect
Barbie Fatale - ingenius way of using pink belt on black dress
Just enough to accentuate the waist and making a statement.
Pink, Pink, Pink - and more Pink
Barbie angel - the frills are pure and elegant
The bow on the long dress is cute and the pink belt
on the top makes a more flattering silhouette.

More frills, in black. The scaly/Petal-like aspect
of the garments are what make these looks so unique
Just like a bouquet of fresh Roses, how romantic?
Yet so powerful, it takes Awesomeness and confidence
to pull these looks off.
