Official opening of the 17th edition of Montréal Fashion Week
Montréal, October 13, 2009 – Members of the media are invited to attend the launch of the 17th edition of Montréal Fashion Week (MFW) at 3 p.m. today. An event of international scope produced in collaboration with P&G Beauty, MFW will be held at the Bonsecours Market from October 13 to 15. Among the partners and participants invited to speak at the official opening, we note Clément Gignac, Minister of Développement économique, de l’Innovation et de l’Exportation, (Economic Development, Innovation and Export Trade), Danielle Bibas, General Manager Canada for P&G Beauty, Patrick Imbert, Director, Ubifrance Canada, Alan Herscovici, President of Liaison Mode Montréal, as well as Chantal Durivage, co-president of Sensation Mode.

Cocktail Room Entrance: 350 Saint-Paul Street East, Montréal

This official launch will be followed by a cocktail during the course of which members of the media and special guests will be invited to discover Le Showroom, a critically acclaimed concept introduced last March and where, over a 3-day period, the collections of some 60 designers and designer-manufacturers will be presented.

On the program October 13th: at the Bonsecours Market at 5 p.m. Andy Thê-Anh, followed at 6:15 p.m. by Muse by Christian Chenail, 7 p.m. Dinh Bà Design, 8 p.m. French designers’ fashion show, and at 9 p.m., Envers by Yves Jean Lacasse and Tatyana Parfionova.

Press accreditations to Montréal Fashion Week will be handed to members of the media at their first visit. Members of the media who have not previously completed the accreditation form will be required to do so on site. Accreditation or the designer’s invitation are required to attend various MFW activities. Miss SLY! is accredited so this is very exciting!!!
In order to ensure a seat at the various fashion shows, it is also advisable to register with the public relations agents of the designers involved.
